Welcome to Mr. Robinson's WWII Special Fighting Forces WebQuest!
Did you know that over 16 million men fought for the U.S. Military in WWII? While they served, they fought for freedom, democracy, and peace throughout the world. Countless soldiers left loved ones, previous lives, and opportunities at home to join the military. Several others were drafted into the army and fought in both the European and Pacific theaters.
In this WebQuest we will focus our efforts on the contributions of the special fighting forces of the U.S. Military during WWII. The groups we will be discussing will include the Tuskegee Airmen, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and the Navajo Code Talkers. These regiments were made up of minority groups who fought for equality and freedom abroad as well as at home.
